Travel Checklist
Don't leave the house until you have yourself and your family ready to go! By taking a little extra time before you leave, you will avoid the stress and headache of forgetting those small, but important, items on your vacation. Prepare well now so you can enjoy yourself that much more later!
MUST HAVE:
Wallet and/or purse and cash (sometimes we forget the most obvious things)
Credit cards and/or traveler's checks (plus list of numbers of both)
Proper identification (driver license; for children, a school or sherriff ID - after all, if you get separated, often a child will not be released until you can prove this is your child)
Car and house keys (try to carryduplicate sets in a separate bag)
Eye glasses and/or contact lenses and proper cleaning solutions
Sunglasses
Watch
Medical insurance cards
Prescriptions and other medications
Itineraries, tickets and reservation confirmations
Maps and directions
Totebag or backpack for day use
Camera and film
Books and magazines for all ages
Toys, playing cards, small games
Flashlight and batteries
Binoculars for sightseeing (especially if going to the mountains)
Umbrella and rain jackets
Laundry bags and swimwear bags
Disposable wipes (or put damp paper towels in zippered plastic bags)
Pocketknife
Sunglasses
Travel alarm
Sewing kit
First-aid kit
Prepared foods, especially if renting a cabin or effeciency
Snacks/gum
Water/juice boxes, no-spill cups
Paper napkins/towels
Sheets, linens and towels, if needed for cabin rental

Outfits for each day (place kids' outfits for each day in zip-top bags)
